Hi, my name is Lee Archer, I am the new headteacher as well as the Assessment and Pupil Premium Lead. I have taught in a number of different schools and across a range of ages.  What I love about this school is how inspiring, creative, kind and polite the children are and look forward to working within this wonderful school community!

I enjoy nurturing and watching the children grow more confident both socially and academically. It truly is an inspiring sight to watch this journey and a privilege to be a part of so many children’s lives.  Outside of school I enjoy playing football and cheering on the Rams at Pride Park, I also enjoy challenging myself to do new things, including a tandem skydive, white water rafting and a 100ft bungee jump off a bridge in New Zealand!

I am assistant Head teacher with responsibility for the Early Years Foundation Stage and for Key Stage One. I have been teaching for 20 years and have worked across all year groups from reception to year 3.  I have been teaching at Christ Church for a number of years and currently teach one of the reception classes.  I really enjoy teaching young children and supporting them as they develop a lifelong love of learning.  In my spare time I am a busy mum with two small children and a dog.  I love being outdoors for long walks and am an enthusiastic member of the National Trust!

My name is Kelly Seidu and I am the Special Educational Needs Coordinator and one of the Year 6 teachers here at Christ Church Primary School. This year I am also leading PSHE across the school. I am looking forward to working alongside the school council and discussing their thoughts and opinions.

In my spare time, I like to travel around the country visiting friends. At weekends I enjoy spending time with my daughter visiting local farms and adventure play areas.

I am abi-lingual assistant teacher working in the nursery and I have been at Christ Church for 5 years. I work fulltime and my son attended this school too, he is now in High school. Nursery is a fantastic place to work we have lots to do and lots to share with a wonderful team too. I love spending my time in nursery supporting children to reach their full potential and preparing them for reception.

 I have worked at Christ Church for 6 years and I love it. I teach in Nursery on a Monday and Tuesday and my job share partner Mrs Banks teaches the class for the rest of the week. We work very closely together to ensure that we build on learning through the week. I lead Music across the school and hope to start our school Choir in the near future. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, sewing and reading. My son keeps me busy and I am a whizz with Lego! 

I am a teacher here at Christ Church, and it is wonderful to be part of such a friendly school! It is a privilege to help the children in my class become independent and happy learners who are willing to take on any challenge. The best part of my role is hearing the imaginative ideas and stories that children love to share! I love being outdoors and spend much of my spare time exploring outside spaces, usually in a very warm coat! I am the Phonics  and Collective Worship Leader.

I started teaching in 1995 and absolutely love my job. This is my seventh year at Christ Church Primary School – what a super school it is. Apart from teaching my super Y3 class, I am P.E curriculum leader. Outside of school, my main interests are: spending time with my family, photography, music and sport.

My name is Miss Hill and I teach year 4 at our fantastic school. I love teaching the full range of subjects across the curriculum, but particularly love English, Drama and Music! I am thrilled to be a part of the Christ Church community. I am also a huge Disney fan and can often be found humming the songs to my lovely class.

My name is Mr Naylor and I teach Year 5 at our brilliant school. I love teaching PE and play a number of sports away from school. I am also the Science leader and get the fantastic opportunity to see all of the amazing investigations that we do across the year groups.. â€‹

My name is Mrs Barke and I teach Year 6 at Christ Church Primary School. I am also the Leader for the school's Library and Modern Foreign Languages which gives me the opportunity to work with pupils in all year groups to develop their reading and writing as well as a love of French. I love everything to do with Literacy and I especially enjoy watching the children discover new authors and books to become readers for life. I feel very lucky to be part of such a great school with wonderful pupils and staff! â€‹

I have been privileged to work at Christ Church since 1996, where I have undertaken numerous roles.  I currently have several roles in school, I cover the teachers in classes throughout EYFS and Key stage 1/2 within the role of HLTA.   I am also the Family Liaison Officer where I work closely with families to give an additional source of support to a wide variety of issues, providing advice, help & support in many areas; health, parenting skills, boundaries & behaviours, emotional, family routines/wellbeing, education and learning.  I am able to refer parents to other agencies when needed. I have delivered Family Learning, Parent/Carers & Child Cookery club, which is always so popular we have waiting lists! I feel proud to be able to contribute to pupil’s and their family’s education and wellbeing, making a positive impact & creating lifelong memories of their experiences at Christ Church Primary School.  In the little spare time I have!! I treasure time with my family and pet dog, I enjoy reading, baking, and hosting Chernobyl Children each year from Belarus.

I have worked at Christ Church for over 25 years. During that time I have had many rewarding roles including managing the nursery for many years, supporting children with additional needs, working in reception and year 2, and running a lunchtime pottery club. My current role is teaching reading and maths interventions to small groups of children from KS1 and KS2 which is very rewarding. In my spare time I love cooking, art and being outdoors with my wonderful family.

I am Miss Roast and I started off working with special educational needs, which was fantastic. I have supported many incredible children and seen each of them grow into the most exceptional children.  In my time away from my second home (I really don’t sleep at school, although sometimes it would be easier), I am involved in the Scout movement, in which I am the South Derbyshire District Beaver Scout Leader. 

Hello my name is Mr Cooper.  I have been working at Christ Church since 2013 and have spent a fantastic seven years working in Reception and Nursery.   I am looking forward to this academic year and seeing all the children develop and grow.

I have worked at Christ Church for several years in a variety of roles. I really enjoy working with the children who are a pleasure to be with. I love spending time with my family and friends… a lot of this time is spent supporting my sons playing football!!! I enjoy relaxing by doing crafts and my latest project is crocheting. 

I am a teaching assistant for Year 1 and Year 2. I really enjoy my job and have been here for a few years and have loved every minute. I am very happy to be part of such a wonderful team and also be surrounded by such amazingly talented children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and walking my dogs.

I am a Polish speaking teaching assistant and I work in Reception with Miss Neish. I thoroughly enjoy my job and I am delighted to be a part of such a fantastic and friendly team. Working with children gives me a lot of satisfaction and fulfilment. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and friends, going to concerts and listening to rock music. I also enjoy going to the gym, and exploring new places.

My name is Donna Quarterman.  I have been working at Christ Church School since 2003.  I am lucky enough to have worked in Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and now KS2.  After working in the infants for many years I am now really happy to be working in Key Stage 2.

Hi, my name is Mr Dost and I have recently started at Christ Church. I am working in Y3/4 with fantastic children and am looking forward to getting to know everyone at this wonderful school.

Hi my name is Rekiya Kausar and I have worked at Christ Church over 18 years and have enjoyed my time thoroughly. I have spent time in all classes from nursery up to year 2. I am currently working in a year 2 class.  My own 3 children have also attended this setting. I enjoy working as part of a team and find the children a pleasure to work with.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and gardening.

I’m Mrs Bailey and I have been at Christ Church since May 2016. I feel very lucky to work at such a friendly, happy school. Outside of school I love to spend time with my husband and two children, I also enjoy being creative and like making all sorts of things from cakes to cards.

Hello. My name is Lisa Shaw. I am a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, currently working in Year 6. I am passionate about the school ethos “Love to Learn, Learn to Love” and believe that every child is amazing and strive to help them believe that too. My favourite subjects are Maths and English. When I am not at school I love being outdoors, either on a family walk with my three children, or going for a run.
